Love and Care Can Defeat Any Mental Illness

An old proverb reads, “Rome cannot be built in a day,” which implies that there is nothing that can be accomplished in a single day and nothing that can be attained overnight

It takes time and displays some symptoms, whether it is a crime or the preparation of a task.

The same rule applies to any type of illness, specifically mental illness.

A few of the common types of mental disorders that can be considered on the basis of symptoms are anxiety, depression, suicidal thoughts, etc.

This is also because these are connected with human emotions and feelings that can change over time and, later, can even transform into a serious form of mental illness.

Love and Care Help in Fighting Mental Disorders.

Love has many definitions, and there are many ways to express it.

It is one of the most important ingredients of our daily lives, and without its existence, life does not seem to have any purpose.

You can get and give love to anyone, be it your family members, friends, life partners, or somebody else.

But if we have love in our lives and someone who cares for us, and vice versa, it gets easier to get rid of many mental illnesses even while they are in the process of their origin.

Some of the common mental disorders that we can get rid of are listed below:

Anxiety disorder:-

Disappointment, sadness, feeling lonely, sidelined, or the odd one out among your near and dear ones is the point at which anxiety begins to develop.

In the absence of any loved one or someone with whom a person can share his or her feelings, the chances of it reaching its peak increase day by day.

Therefore, if you see a loved one showing any signs of anxiety, then it is recommended to talk to them at the initial stage and try to understand their situation.

This will make it easier for them to come out of their anxiety.

Depression:

When a person fails to achieve something or if people have high expectations of that person and he cannot deliver what was expected, then he starts feeling depressed.

We, as a society, encourage the development of depression by criticizing the affected person rather than appreciating his efforts to fight against it.

It is important to understand that it is not the person who has failed to attain the desired results and come out of depression.

He or she had given his or her 100% effort. Rather, it is us who failed to appreciate his efforts.

We need to listen to him/her and make him/her understand that we love him/her, care about him/her, and that failure is not the end.

Suicidal thoughts:

The major reason behind the increasing number of suicidal cases is not sharing the feelings or the inability of loved ones to understand the feelings of a person dealing with something that he believes is out of his control and his or her loss of hope to survive.

To fight against such situations, it is not necessary at any point in life to make anything bigger than life itself.

We should spread love and care in our surroundings and make sure to take time to listen to our friends and family.

Loneliness:-

Loneliness is a persistent feeling of personality disorder.

The word “lone wolf” sounds fascinating, and there are people who are shy or enjoy their own company, but that does not mean they do not want to talk, they are emotionally dry, and they do not want love and care.

The truth is, they want to be heard and their emotions addressed.

Although they prefer to avoid big social gatherings, they do need a hand that they can hold and a shoulder on which they can rest.

Self-love:-

“Charity begins at home.”  We should teach our kids the importance of self-love. You cannot love anyone until you start loving yourself.

The benefit of self-love is that it decreases dependency, and builds a person’s confidence, and when he or she loves himself, he or she does care about himself or herself, which helps in fighting against all negative thoughts and depression.
