Tamanna Singh is a dedicated Clinical Psychologist who has recently joined the esteemed team at Athena. With a passion for helping individuals navigate the complexities of their personal and social lives while embracing healthier lifestyles, Tamanna brings a wealth of experience in working with diverse clinical populations.

Tamanna’s expertise extends to addressing a wide range of mental health issues, including Substance Use Disorder, Anxiety Disorder, Depression, Bipolar Disorder, Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder, and Personality Disorders. She employs various therapeutic approaches such as Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Motivational Enhancement Therapy (MET), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Crisis Intervention, Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP), Systematic Desensitization, among others.

In addition to helping adults deal with their issues, she has also successfully assisted children with Intellectual Disabilities, ADHD, Learning Disorders, and Conduct Disorders, primarily employing Behavioral Techniques. Tamanna utilizes a wide array of diagnostic tools, including ISSA, VSMS, DST, SFBT, and CARS, to ensure accurate assessments.

Tamanna understands the profound impact psychological problems can have on an individual’s social and occupational functioning. As a Clinical Psychologist, her mission is to identify the root causes of these problems, provide an empathetic and supportive environment, and facilitate holistic growth and development.

Her academic journey includes earning an M.Phil in Clinical Psychology from SGT University, Gurgaon, in 2023, with an impressive CGPA of 68.5. Tamanna gained practical experience during her tenure at AIIMS, Delhi, where she worked under the mental health department, participating in a project focused on Psychosis Outcomes. Her roles involved case reporting, attending conferences, and assisting patients in both day-care and in-patient wards. Tamanna also volunteered at Fortis Hospital Gurgaon, observing cases with psychiatrists and clinical psychologists, engaging in role plays, and working with psycho-oncologists.

Tamanna possesses a diverse skill set, including active listening, analytical abilities, decision-making, keen observation, and proficiency in psychological assessments. She has also volunteered in counseling helplines, providing emotional and psychosocial support to children and adults during the COVID-19 outbreak.

Outside her professional endeavors, Tamanna enjoys meditation, socializing, and volunteering for community improvement initiatives. Her strong teamwork, communication skills, problem-solving abilities, goal-oriented mindset, and willingness to take risks reflect her dynamic personality.

Tamanna’s dedication to the field of clinical psychology is evident through her participation in workshops, seminars, and conferences, as well as her presentations and publications. She has contributed significantly to the field and even organized events like the National Annual Conference of the Indian Association of Clinical Psychologists.
